Hiding in Plain Sight RSVP for Feb 2
Hiding in Plain Sight: Youth Mental Health Crisis is a new documentary produced by acclaimed documentarian Ken Burns. The Village is hosting a free one-hour screening of the documentary on Thursday, Feb. 2, 7-8:45 p.m. The screening debuted at the White House in 2022. You can learn more about the documentary here.
Kee Dunning, a therapist with over 40 years of practice, particularly in working with kids and their families, will field audience questions following the screening. Kee’s work is featured in the Hiding in Plain Sight series and screening.
The Village staff will provide free childcare for children ages 5-10, with RSVP. Reservations for child care are encouraged earlier rather than later, as there is a limit on availability.
All people are encouraged to attend; the material is suitable for students in sixth grade up, with parental guidance and attendance. The film includes issues around mental health challenges and disorders among young people and the hope for healing and recovery.
