Summer camps are being offered at The Village June 6-August 10. This year’s CURIOUS MINDS summer camps include experiential learning, academic support, skill building, music, and recreation. Weekly themes keep children actively and meaningfully engaged in their own learning. Students 5-12 years old, entering kindergarten through 6th grade, are welcome to join us!
Transportation for swimming lessons is available June 20-July 22 for swimming lessons at Rose Park through Billings Parks & Recreation. Families that wish to make use of this feature will need to register their children for the desired weeks of swim sessions, at the appropriate swimming level, and make payment through Billings Parks & Recreation. Lesson time is 10-10:55 a.m.
Camp Schedules:
–Camp runs M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
–Extended coverage is available from 5-5:30 pm, for an additional fee of $25 per week per family.
-Half-day camp spots are available: 8 am-12 pm or 1-5 pm; for the five day/week schedule. These spots are limited.
-Part-time camp is available on a 3 or 4-day per week schedule. These spots are limited.
What to Bring
Full-day campers pack a morning snack and lunch each day.

All campers bring a backpack or bag, appropriate footwear, appropriate outerwear, sunscreen, insect repellent, and water bottle, every day. Chapstick and sunglasses are optional.
Campers that sign up for swim lessons need to bring their swimming gear – suit, goggles, towel, swim bag – each day of their lessons.
What Not To Bring: personal electronic devices, toys, stuffed animals.
What to Expect
Each week’s camp has a unique theme to facilitate campers’ exploration, creative inquiry, and hands-on learning. Engaged learners are happy learners – an antidote to summer boredom and the summer slide in skills.
We take weekly field trips around Billings.
Skill building opportunities – in reading, math, handwriting/fine motor, and critical thinking – are built into each day.

Our camps are built with two-week modules to allow us to dig deeper into our thematic subject matter. Each camp week stands on its own merits and delivers the enriched experience The Village is known for providing campers.

Camp Fees
-Full time weekly camp expense is $215 per week.
-Half day camp (8-12 or 1-5, M-F) expense is $130 per week.
-4 day per week full day camp is $180; 3 day per week full day camp is $135. All partial schedules are subject to availability.
-Camp tuition (less deposit) is due on the first day of the camp, no exceptions. Camp tuition is non-refundable unless camp is cancelled due to COVID-19 related closures.
Discounts
-A 5% discount is given for full pre-payment of 10 weeks of camp by June 1. A 3% discount is given for full pre-payment of 5 weeks of camp by June 1. These discounts only apply for full day, week-long camp registrants.
-An 8% discount will be given to families that register 2 or more siblings for all 10 weeks of full day, week-long summer camps. Full advance payment isn’t required for this discount, however deposits for all sibling campers must be paid by the deposit deadlines.
-These discounts may not be combined.
Deposits
A $25 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your child’s spot for each individual camp; deposits can be prepaid in one payment or by the specified monthly dates. Deposit due dates: May 25 for all June camps; June 20 for all July camps; July 22 for all August camps
-Deposits will be returned only for those camps that are cancelled due to lack of registrants.
-Camps must have at least 8 campers registered. Weekly enrollment caps at 16 campers.
-Waitlisted campers do not pay a deposit until their spot is confirmed in camp.
Late fees
Late registrants will pay a $20 late fee, in addition to camp tuition fees.
Register by May 20 for June camps; June 20 for July camps; July 20 for August camps to avoid late fees.

*Confirmations are issued by dates above or once 8 campers have registered for an individual camp.
You will receive a confirmation email indicating your spot is reserved and requesting deposit fee payment (payable to The Village) be mailed to: The Village Afterschool Program, c/o LCGS, 1108 24th St. W., Billings MT 59102. Online payment instructions will also be provided.
